Hearing assessments determine the level of hearing, the status of the middle ear, and the ability to distinguish speech. It includes Otoscopy, Pure Tone Audiogram, Tympanogram, and Speech Test.

Children often require different methods to determine hearing and middle ear status and test procedures may vary depending on the child’s age and attention. Vital Hearing is equipped with the latest technology equipment for testing all age groups of children.

An auditory processing test is used to determine Auditory Processing Disorder in children. It involves several short tests like listening to and repeating words and sounds back to the audiologist.

Eustachian tube is a tunnel-like channel that connects your nasal cavity to your middle ear. During the ear “pops,” the Eustachian tube opens and allows pressure in the middle ear to equalize with outside atmospheric pressure.

Balance assessment typically involves evaluation of the balance function by monitoring the eye movement with specialised goggles and are conducted using videonystagmography (VNG) equipment.
