Hearing assessments determine the level of hearing, the status of the middle ear, and the ability to distinguish speech. It includes Otoscopy, Pure Tone Audiogram, Tympanogram, and Speech Test.

02.

Children often require different methods to determine hearing and middle ear status and test procedures may vary depending on the child’s age and attention. Vital Hearing is equipped with the latest technology equipment for testing all age groups of children.

03.

An auditory processing test is used to determine Auditory Processing Disorder in children. It involves several short tests like listening to and repeating words and sounds back to the audiologist.

04.

Often described as ringing or buzzing noises in the ears, tinnitus is relatively common condition, and it’s often temporary. However, with some people tinnitus perception is constant that can interfere with hearing and concentration.

05.

Eustachian tube is a tunnel-like channel that connects your nasal cavity to your middle ear. During the ear “pops,” the Eustachian tube opens and allows pressure in the middle ear to equalize with outside atmospheric pressure.

06.

Balance assessment typically involves evaluation of the balance function by monitoring the eye movement with specialised goggles and are conducted using videonystagmography (VNG) equipment.

07.

Depending on the nature and extent of hearing loss, the audiologist may have to perform additional testing which involves trialling and assessing suitability of a hearing device for your listening needs.

08.

Custom earplugs require a visit to take a set of ear impressions which are then used for the manufacturing of custom fitted hearing protection.

09.

Wax Microsuction is an effective and typically risk-free method of having your ears cleaned to get rid of the wax that has accumulated in your ear canal.

I had ear pain and blockage and went to the gp twice and the problem was still there and got worse.I decided rather than go back a third time to find an audiologist, and Dr Manuj was the best! He saw me on a Saturday which I’m so grateful for as my situation was dire as I couldn’t hear out of both ears. He was professional, calm, took his time, unblocked both ears perfectly in one session with microsuction, showed me the before and after images and even checked eardrum damage afterwards. Patiently explaining each step, I never felt rushed out. No second appointment necessary.Definitely one of my more positive and successful health appointments I’ve had and I’d recommend to anyone seeking a good audiologist. I’m so glad I decided to drive the extra mile today to do this.

I had a blocked ear for over a week and tried using ear drops, but they didn’t help much. I finally decided to visit Dr. Manuj, who cleaned my ear using microsuction. At first, I was a bit apprehensive, but the procedure felt like my ear was being gently vacuumed. It wasn’t painful, though the vacuum noise was sometimes high-pitched. After the cleaning, my hearing improved, but it still felt slightly muffled, so he conducted a hearing test. The results showed that my right ear wasn’t as good as my left, and I was advised to return for a follow-up.On my second visit, Dr. Manuj found more earwax and removed a large piece. The difference was amazing—I could hear much more clearly! The whole experience was very professional and I felt well taken care of.Highly recommend Dr. Manuj if you're experiencing any ear or hearing issues!
